Usability Classroom Exercise
In about 2 weeks, Uzilla.net will be used in a classroom demonstration of usability test protocols, demonstrating the CIF test format and the general idea of assigning tasks to users to evaluate a software's quality. We'll be using a left-vs-right navigation test which involves identical sites, differing in what side navigation is on, to show how user testing can be used to compare designs and answer research questions. Depending upon our success with the experience, we may make this exercise available for use in college classes. Got other ideas for how a streamlined test process might make usability testing accessible to your classroom? Email us.
Followup 06/03: Check out the details for the comparative evaluation.|||
