XML for Task Models and Interaction Design

As Uzilla.net developed, more robust task modeling has always been a consideration.  The Teresa project uses a xml DTD for task modeling, to support ConcurTaskTrees and  RemUSINE.  We're looking into this DTD as more robust way to model tasks for assignment in a series of tests.

The folks at giove.cnuce.cnr.it have also gone a step futher, attempting to allow interface generation from an xml format for interaction design in the Teresa project.  Here's a screenshot.

Their sites use a Java beacon/counter that, alas, really slows a browser down.  On the other hand, the Teresa and ConcurTaskTrees Java apps ran from their executable without a problem on a Windows XP machine.  Looks like the papers will be essential to mastering the icon heavy design, but the apps have a thoughtful design and nifty zooming panel centered just above the workspace, very nice.
