| Uzilla Usage Scenarios | ||
|
Uzilla can be used in a traditional usability lab, at a user's desktop
in your office, or at any machine connected to the internet. Because
the Uzilla Client runs on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux, as well as
Solaris & OS2, it's highly unlikely you'll find a candidate
participant who is unable to run Uzilla.
Different scenarios trade off user and administrator effort, different types of user feedback, and techological hurdles. Usability professionals distinguish between "formative" and "summative" testing. In formative testing, very early in the design process, participant dialogue is often critical. For this type of testing, in person moderation is likely to be the best route. For usability testing later in the development lifecycle, remote testing becomes more useful. |
