Usability Experimentation for the Web

Are you interested in research that compares two designs?  Do you want to test the effects of a new design in different populations?  Uzilla.net can help with web experimentation.

Uzilla supports comparing user data across multiple project runs.  Your experimental design may be implemented a simple randomization function built-in, through your website, or through custom development by Uzilla, LLC.

The Testing Process

  • Design your study.  The demo account provides access to an A-B comparison of two different navigation systems on the same site. By copying the initial project, you create a set of connections that allow you easily compare user data across the tasks.
  • Bring users into your lab or take your lab to their desktop. Uzilla runs on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. An auto-run CD version of the client is available, meaning you don't have to install software on your participant's computer.
  • Generate graphs and reports with the Uzilla Analysis application. Export raw data for statistical analysis.  Visualize activity.

Free for student projects:

The Uzilla.net browser/data server service is available free for student projects.  Uzilla is citable as a tool in Behavior Research Methods, Instruments and Computers.
