Automatic web usability evaluation: what needs to be done? The means to control the complexity and cost of website maintenance lies in tools performing automatic usability evaluations. To test usability of a website a developer can adopt two kinds of methods: usability inspection methods (e.g. heuristic evaluation [Nielsen and Mack, 1994]) or user testing [Nielsen, 2000].
